I don’t know why I love you, I just do.
A lot of people don’t like her because they think she’s insensitive and rude and they feel insulted and as if she’s belittling overweight people. Well fuck, she is. Being overweight is unhealthy, stop trying to justify it. Stop trying to make it seem okay. It’s not okay. Beautiful? Attractive? Yes, to some. But healthy? Satisfying? Eh, not really. She’s been over weight in her teens. She knows! I’m over weight for now and I know that i feel like shit, and I damn sure would LOVE to take her to the gym with me to insult me and yell at me and tell me I’m fat during my workout it would push me so much further than listening to some pop song. I love Jillian and there are no fucks given anywhere at all. Thank you.
I disagree. It’s entirely possible to be healthy and overweight. Some people are happy with their size and happy with their health no matter how overweight they are.
Unless people want it and feel that it would be a good motivator to lose weight, I don’t think people ought to be bullied into exercise. I would probably walk out if my trainer humiliated me or called me fat. No matter how much I want this, it isn’t worth someone else making me feel bad about myself. I think being treated like this is as though you are somehow lesser for being overweight. Which no one is.
There are worse things than being overweight and being a bully is one of them.
That being said, some people really do love this kind of training, like you, and fair fucks to them, and you, but if I can direct you back to what you said:
“they feel insulted and as if she’s belittling overweight people. Well fuck, she is. Being overweight is unhealthy, stop trying to justify it. Stop trying to make it seem okay. It’s not okay. Beautiful? Attractive? Yes, to some. But healthy? Satisfying? Eh, not really.”
That’s not you expressing a preference for a style of motivation, that’s you suggesting that overweight people deserve to be belittled and humiliated for their “health” and that my dear is the gods honest stupidest fucking thing I’ve heard all day.
She’s actually a lot different than the public realize. I listen to her radio show a lot and she says there are a lot of meaningful conversations that go on to try and get to the bottom of why people are overweight and NBC doesn’t show them. She gets really frustrated at how they edit and cut the show. Yes she said this, but I think people need to step back before the assume something off of a gif
